Frequently asked questions

What accents and dialects can you transcribe?

Our transcribers are experienced with Kenyan English, British English, American English, Swahili, and common East African accents. For other languages or strong regional accents, send us a sample and we will tell you honestly what we can produce accurately.

How long does transcription take?

Standard turnaround is one to two business days per hour of audio. Rush turnaround (same day or next day) is available for shorter files — contact us to confirm availability.

Is our content kept confidential?

Yes. We sign NDAs for sensitive material as required. Legal and medical content is handled under strict confidentiality by a small, consistent team.

What audio formats do you accept?

We accept MP3, MP4, WAV, MOV, M4A, AAC, WMV, and most common formats. Zoom and Microsoft Teams recordings are fine. Poor audio quality affects accuracy — we will flag if a file is too degraded to transcribe reliably.

Do you offer verbatim transcription?

Yes — we offer verbatim (every "um", stutter, and false start included) and clean-read (edited for readability). Research and legal work typically requires verbatim. Specify your preference when you submit files.
